Letters are template-based notices you can attach to a CE case, a property, or a permit
file. Each letter can optionally detail one or more code violations, and every letter goes
through the same 4-step flow whether you're creating it fresh or basing it on an earlier one.

As of the August 2026 upgrade, the mailing-history panel you may remember on a letter is now
called Correspondence — it tracks every way a letter has gone out (mail, email, posting/
placard, door-hanger), not just mailing.
You'll find the Letters / Correspondence panel — the same reusable component everywhere — in

Because it's the exact same component in all three spots, once you know how to use it on a
case, you already know how to use it on a property or a permit file. Look for the help icon
